Due to an increase in work, our client, a leading multi disciplinary contractor operating within the Rail industry is seeking to employ an Engineering Manager (CEM) Comms to be based from their South Yorkshire office.

Your main duties will be :

Take ownership and responsibility for the completion of installation, testing & commissioning activities for Control & Communications projects.

Implement test & commissioning processes and procedures described within the Linbrooke Services management system for projects / bids.

Ensure that all reasonable care is taken to ensure that work is conducted professionally and safely and in accordance with agreed standards.

Liaise and assist the HSQE team to ensure due regard is given to safety / quality and environmental issues associated with projects/bids.

Act as on track plant co-ordinator

Act as TIC (Tester in Charge) for projects.

Undertake testing & commissioning work in accordance with the approved test documentation.

Provide evidence of testing & commissioning through the completion of test certificates and associated documentation.

Support the Technical Support Manager in continuous improvement of test activities to realise cost & programme efficiencies.

Provide technical support to internal and external customers for the installation and commissioning of equipment and systems.

Coach and mentor junior staff for I&C activities.

Attend internal and external meeting as required to represent the testing and commissioning group.

It is essential that you will have excellent communication skills, be a team player and able to build and maintain relationships. You will be literate in the use of AutoCAD, Vision and Microstation J and have a thorough knowledge of railway telecommunications.
