We are currently looking for an Engineering Manager to come from a Civil and Structural Design background to be based in Hull. Within the position you will be responsible for leading the Civil/Structural design team, reporting directly to the Engineering Director. You would be expected to lead the team by example, being technically strong and be able to react to the fast-paced nature of design and build, in which you could be involved in a number of structural or civil engineering scheme within industries such as Rail, Energy, Industrial, Materials Handling and General Construction. 

Within the position you will undertake detailed estimates and programmes for delivery of engineering design work that interface effectively with other project deliverables overseeing the design team working with other project stakeholders as a Principal Designer under CDM. 

For this position, it is essential that the candidate is Chartered via the ICE as you will be the mentor under the ICE training agreement.  

This could be an excellent position for a Principal Civil Structural Engineer looking to make step up into Engineering Management, or an Engineer Manager looking to work in a fast-paced Design and Build environment. 

Job Requirements

• Must have Civil or Structural Engineering Degree and CEng MICE.
• Previous experience of Design & Build would be beneficial but not essential.
• Have a practical knowledge of design to Eurocodes in Concrete, Steelwork, Masonry and Timber.
• Ability to produce detailed estimates and programmes for delivery of engineering design work that interface effectively with other project deliverables.
• Experience within the following sectors: Rail, Energy or Industrial
