Samuel Knight are working with a leading rolling stock engineering business who are looking to add an experienced engineering manager to their ever expanding team based in Scotland.

Reporting directly to the Engineering Director the successful applicant will support the delivery of engineering and project management services across the business. Key responsibilities will include the assessment of damage to vehicles, technical writing, designing and implementing effective modifications & managing a small team of project engineers.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work both autonomously & within a team as part of a flexible 37 hour week. Other required skills are:

• Previous Rolling Stock or Rail Experience
• Extensive experience as a hands-on senior engineer with team management experience
• Great communication skills with the passion and enthusiasm to drive the wider business forward
• Proven Leadership skills & experience managing relationships with customers
• Chartered Engineer status & a degree in Mechanical Engineering are preferable
