Engineering Manager £/day rate Neg

Our client is a well established Rail contractor who is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join this experienced team based in London.

This Tier 1 Rail contractor wins work on high profile projects and has a healthy order book which includes this new project starting.

Reporting to the Project Manager you will be responsible for managing multi-disciplinary design and construction schemes.

You will need:

Essential:

Proven experience of multidiciplinary railway projects preferably working within a live Depot Environment

• Knowledge of engineering procedures and process
• Previous experience of undertaking the CEM Role
• Proven experience of assurance and handover documents, including enrty into service requirements.

The role:

• Overseeing and accountable for all engineering activities applicable to the project including those undertaken by sub-contracted organisations and assurance documentation required for handover/handback.
• Managing inter-disciplinary design activities.
• Leading engineering innovation and best practice standards within the project.
• Production and maintenance of the Engineering Management Plan, including inspection and test plans
• Responsible for all design activities associated with the scheme and for the integration of all disciplines.
• Responsible for implementing a risk management process to identify and mitigate risk and communicate details of unmitigated risk.
• Accountable for ensuring design and construction is undertaken in compliance with applicable standards, legislation, contract requirements and specifications.
