Job Purpose:
* Support the delivery teams by ensuring the relevant information has been received from the client and other delivery teams prior to commencing a design package and if not the relevant communications and mitigations are agreed.
* Manage the interfaces during the design phase ensuring the relevant information has been provided to the client and / or other design teams.
* Build relationships with client team and HS2 to ensure designs and documents meet.
* Manage all aspects of the client relationship so that delivery meets or exceeds client expectations.
* Working to ensure maximum client satisfaction.
Key Accountabilities:
* Lead continuous improvement in health, safety and welfare.
* Establish and consolidate relationships with client team and HS2.
* Build strong working relationships with other teams and technical disciplines.
* Coordinate and manage multi-disciplinary design teams, ensuring client satisfaction, effective project management and good communication and collaboration between ASC colleagues.
* Input into the commercial aspects of the project.
* Drive project performance, service delivery and technical and commercial outcomes and undertaking reviews.
* Communicate with team members to ensure that they understand, and become engaged with, the project strategy, brief and client requirements.
* Influence the performance of team members and sub-contractors, identifying and ensuring the resolution of any issues.
Knowledge & Experience:
* BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng or equivalent in a relevant discipline preferred.
* Have relevant experience delivery management and assurance experience gained in a comparable design and engineering environment.
* Can influence design team to deliver high quality deliverables, on time
* Able to influence client reps to agree proposed design solutions and deliverables.
* Able to communicate well with others at all levels including effective use of English orally and in writing.
* Have first rate personal and social skills.
* Experienced in leading, and working with, people from varied discipline, backgrounds and cultures.
* Manage the planning and organisation of tasks, people and resources.
* Manage teams and develop staff to meet changing technical and managerial needs.
* Plan, direct and control tasks, people and resources.
* Have ability to use a sound evidence-based approach to problem solving and be able to contribute to continuous improvement.
* Demonstrate sound judgement on statutory, contractual and commercial issues in relation to own area of responsibility.
