Job Title - Internal Channels Manager

Location - Milton Keynes - The Quadrant

Rates - £250 - £350 per day (in Scope 0f IR35) - this role is open to PAYE or Umbrella company workers.

About the role / project:

Working on the corporate intranet and managing day to day requests. Ensuring pages and content are updated. Uploading documents and videos. Currently there is a transition between Extron EPiServer and the new system Microsoft SharePoint

What you will do:

• Manage the day-to-day delivery of allocated internal communications channel(s).
• Document and maintain the editorial policy, governance and guidelines for allocated channel(s), and adhere to those set for all channels.
• Deliver channel(s) and content to time and production deadlines, with the appropriate tone, language, content and house-style, and aligned to Network Rail's strategic messages.
• Use formal and informal measurement data to evaluate the effectiveness of allocated internal communications channel(s) and their content, as well as to improve future communications.
• Use understanding of the business' strategic goals and audiences to deliver clear and compelling communications.
• Work collaboratively with the wider Communication team to deliver joined-up internal and external communications.

Your experience will include:

Essential

• Experience of delivering communications channels
• Relevant experience in internal communications
• Ability to shape and deliver key messages to various audiences and their individual needs
• Excellent writing skills, including ability to produce content quickly
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience in a similar role
• Dreamweaver
• Understanding of copywriting and proof reading attention to detail
• Graphic awareness - size of images and similar. SharePoint would be an advantage

Desirable

• Experience in journalism or copywriting
• Experience of producing content for a variety of mediums (e.g. intranet, social media, print)
• Experience of using creative and cost-effective means of communicating
• Experience of managing a budget
