We have a new opportunity for an Internal IT Manager to join Bridgeway Consulting at our head office in Nottingham.

The role involves working within a small team providing IT support to users throughout the company.

You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running and management of the company’s IT infrastructure.

This includes but not limited to, management and troubleshooting of all IT resources within head office and remote locations. You will be proficient with virtualisation technologies, Windows Server management and troubleshooting, Office365, Network Attached Storage/SAN, Remote Access Technologies, AV/Endpoint/Network Security, Cloud Backup and associated technologies.

You will also be responsible for maintaining the IT Asset Register, PAT testing, system patching etc.

As the IT Support Technician, you will be confident in the following areas:
• Ensuring the smooth running of all IT systems, including anti-virus software, print services and email.
• Ensure back-up systems operate effectively.
• Monitoring of key systems, logging and investigating alerts.
• Assist with the purchase of hardware and software.
• Evaluating user needs and system functionality and ensuring that IT facilities meet these needs.
• Ensuring that new users are provided an IT induction highlighting current policy and associated security risks.
• Scheduling upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems.
• Researching and installing new systems as and when required.
• Ensuring that users adhere and operate to the requirements of software licensing.
• Ensuring secure access to the network for remote users.
• Securing data from internal and external attack.
• Offering users appropriate support and advice.
• Managing crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems.
• Mentoring and training new IT support staff.
• Keeping up to date with the latest technologies.
• Contribute to organisational policy regarding quality standards and strategic planning.
• Planning, implementation of new and development of existing systems.
• To ensure that all systems are compliant and licenced accordingly and to assist with any associated system audit.
• Exposure to GDPR and ISO27001 (desirable)

You will be working for one of the leading consulting and contracting civil engineering companies in the UK today. Our head office is based just outside of the city centre with an on-site car park and ample on street parking.
