An exciting opportunity has arisen for Package Manager / Project Manager to join a leading Tier One Main Contractor and play a part in the successful delivery of a central London located major Rail Station project, part of the Crossrail programme.
This role will find you responsible for overseeing and managing the design, procurement and approvals processes within the Architectural and fit our environments. It is estimated you will be responsible for £10m+ of trade subcontract work typically involving cladding, soffits, flooring and signage.
The role will bring several elements together with you being responsible for coordinating and bring the team together, including client, supply chain and colleagues.
With an already secured pipeline of Major projects in central London the role offers excellent continuity and the opportunity to work across various sectors including Rail, Heavy Civils and Construction.
Your duties will include:
-Deliver architectural package works in compliance with client expectations, company objectives and management systems
-Fully manage design completion and monitor design change
-Contribute to coordinated construction planning, programming and sequencing
-Actively engage with subcontractors and manage subcontract variations, review/agree sub-contractor progress reports/submissions
-Chair Trade contractor meetings to review and control time, cost, quality, safety
-Represent the Trade Contractor at coordination meetings
-Monitor progress, ensuring that work quality and techniques are of a compliant standard, report regularly on project performance and cost against company objectives
-Ensure that safety is an integral to all construction planning and processes
-Observe safe systems of work, report potential hazards and environmental risk
-Deliver right 1st time packages in accordance with the works information
To be successful in this role it is anticipated that you will:
-Be educated to HND / Degree level in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
-Hold circa 10 years of site based experience, ideally gained within major mutli-disciplinary projects with complex interfaces
-Ideally be experienced in managing fit out trades, although this is not essential
-Have good engagement and communication skills
-Have an awareness of RIBA Design process and common design details
-Have the ability to review designs drawings for coordination compliance and buildability
