Location - Trent House, Derby
Rates - Up to £439.37 LTD/Umbrella OR £392.05 PAYE | IN SCOPE OF IR35
About the role:
Acting as the London to Corby Lead for project and programme controls you will join Network Rail's Planning Controls team. The London to Corby scheme is a multidisciplinary enhancement project on the mainline.
You will be responsible for the efficient delivery of the Project Control lifecycle in all major elements of the regional programmes. You'll lead the establishment of a programme of work supporting successful project delivery through effective integration of Planning, Cost Management and Risk & Value Management activities.
What you will do:
- Manage the integration of the control services within the programme reviewing the level of service support is suitable for each project in development/delivery.
- Challenge all aspect of project/programme performance to determine causes of variance from plan.
- Lead the formulation of corrective action plans and lead discussions with senior members of the Programme Team and confirm their suitability and monitor effective implementation.
- Engage with the programme's executive team to provide functional governance and efficient value-adding services.
- Lead the management of the change control process within the geographic area.
- Provide co-ordination and visibility of in-year and future projects within the geographic area setting interface management process with stakeholders.
Your experience will include:
- Enhanced reporting experience; i.e. control rooms/expert level Reporting
- Good communication skills; complex stakeholder management
- Desirable: NR or Rail experience
- Relevant experience in the successful management, planning and delivery of major projects
- Experience in change management and systems deployment
- Solid understanding of programme/project controls processes and systems
