TXM are recruiting a Procurement Manager / Commercial Manager for a train operating company in London, a key focus of the work will be to contact all the current suppliers and ascertain their supplier status.
The preferred candidate will have a strong knowledge of contracts.
Commercial knowledge
Be able to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
Work on projects as needed, this may be tenders or bids.
Be able to report on supplier status and raise any risks.
The Candidate
• Relevant University Degree, with 10+ years' procurement expertise and CIPS Level 6 MCIPS attained.
• Self-starter confident in own ability and ability to lead the function.
• Working knowledge of contract law and associated drafting of contract terms.
• Strong and determined negotiator.
• Demonstrable track record in delivering Procurement savings.
• Excellent organizational, influencing and interpersonal skills.
• Broad understanding and knowledge of the UK wide Rail industry advantageous.
