Due to successfully securing multiple high profile and multi disciplinary intrusive and non intrusive survey contracts, Bridgeway Consulting are looking to employ a Programme Manager. Reporting to the Commercial Associate Director, the Programme Manager will be the central point of contact for the client, subcontractors and internal Project Managers.
You will be based out of the Nottingham head office with frequent travel to Birmingham.
Role Purpose
- Reporting directly to the Commercial Associate Director, the Programme Manager is responsible for managing a complex programme of works.
- Allocating tasks through the discipline Project Managers and subcontractors to allocate and report upon weekly resources, ensuring that the team’s is able to deliver against client and contractual demands.
- Supporting the wider team in developing strategic approaches to contract management and business development.
Daily Activities
- Plan projects and ensure that they are programmed to a level of detail necessary for the site teams to deliver
- Co-ordination and monitoring of multi disciplinary activities
- Liaison with clients and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with company commercial policies and procedures
- Ensure the commercial plan is implemented and monitored
- Ensure correct commercial engagement and management of sub contracts
- Attend Pre-start and Progress Meetings
- Chair internal programme progress meetings
- Implement a risk management process, review and update the risk register
- Ensure weekly reviews of progress, resources and forward planning are carried out
- Build and maintain relationships with the client
Candidates should be able to demonstrate:
- Extensive experience of managing multi-disciplinary projects, preferably with a focus on the within the rail environment
- Good working knowledge of contract conditions and CDM regulations
- Working knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts, including the Early Warning and Compensation Event mechanisms
- Experience of working within a larger team, working towards a common goal
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project
- Knowledge of Network Rail and ICC contracts
- Excellent people skills, including stakeholder liaison
