RESPONSIBLE FOR

Matrix management of project managers, external suppliers and team members


MAIN OBJECTIVES

Working closely with the Finance and Commercial teams, lead and manage the setting up and governance of a programme of projects. Develop an overarching programme strategy, taking responsibility for programme delivery, ensuring it meets its commercial and operational goals

Lead on programme communications and ensure all stakeholders are engaged and informed, be responsible for the leadership and development of project managers in the programme



KEY ACCOUNTABILITES

(please note this is not an exhaustive list of duties but represents the main requirements of the role)

Planning & Delivery

  • Through early involvement ensure there are clear coherent plans across all projects and related activities
  • Agree and coordinate project plans with project managers, and commercial teams
  • Control measures are in place and regular reporting ensures corrective actions are taken as required to maintain the delivery
  • Realising the anticipated revenues and margins across a programme of projects

Stakeholder Management and Communication

  • Senior stakeholders, suppliers, and the board are fully informed and engaged by having and implementing an effective communication plan
  • Have an overview of the health, safety and environmental processes monitoring issues and ensuring we comply with legislative requirements.

Leadership

  • Lead direct and motivate the project managers ensuring projects are coordinated and delivered on time to cost and quality
  • Ensure direct reports are developed and performance managed to build skills and deliver to required standards
