Regional Asset Manager
The Infrastructure and Civils Team at Ford & Stanley – The Rail Recruitment Experts are supporting our Train Operator client as they seek to appoint 2 Regional Asset & Compliance Managers to look after circa 100+ railway stations and their property assets and facilities in the Manchester and Leeds areas.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the station and office estate asset management activities, ensuring that the estate operates as efficiently as possible meeting all station customer service, quality, financial and compliance requirements / targets, ensuring the Asset Management team works collaboratively with all internal and external stakeholders.

Role and Responsibilities
- Responsible for all Contracts for Hard and Soft Facilities Management circa £20m, maintenance contracts for SISS, waste management and utility supplies.
- Provide detailed cost savings / efficiency reports and information relating to key asset and supply chain management / cost performance.
- Responsible for the renewal and maintenance of the station assets, this involves planned renewals, Planned Preventative Maintenance, Reactive Maintenance and the Property Helpdesk.
- Responsible to ensure that ISO55001 compliance is embedded within the entire property team covering station projects, estates & leases, commercial management and station developments.
- Developing and managing ISO55001 requirements and responsibilities.
- Provide leadership in asset management processes and methodologies and lead innovative initiatives to improve the station environment and customer service delivery.
- Ensure that continuous improvement in customer service is delivered and all associated KPIs are achieved.
- Ensure that contractors deliver quality services within financial parameters against a backdrop of potentially conflicting stakeholder priorities.
Essentials & Desirables
- Ideally a relevant qualification in asset management.
- 5+ years’ experience in related in a similar post.
- Experience in managing and developing ISO55001 asset management systems.
- Strong leadership characteristics and previous experience of managing multiple sites/locations or a region.
- Knowledge of buildings construction, civil engineering and construction management processes, systems and standards.
- Experience in delivering all areas of facilities management, projects and estate management practices and strategy.
- Effective negotiation skills, coupled with the ability to communicate at senior levels.
- Assist in leading the property team to ensure efficient and safe use of allocated resources both internal and external, adherence to laid down technical and safety standards and the achievement of planned objectives in terms of safety, quality, customer service, cost and performance.
