Proven Risk Manager with substantial experience of working on major engineering programmes required for a contract opportunity in London. As Risk Manager you will provide risk management support and guidance to the sector and the project teams, monitoring adherence to the Risk Management process, producing periodic Risk Reports, reviewing and challenging sectors and contractors risk management activity and facilitating Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA) for both cost and time.
Responsibilities:
- Implement risk management processes and procedures across the Sector consistent with programme s Risk Management Policy, Plan and Process.
- Assist the Sector and Project teams to identify, assess and manage risks, to identify and implement appropriate risk responses and review their effectiveness.
- Check that risks are regularly reviewed by their owners and that risk information is accurate and up to date, including inputting data as required.
- Liaise with Sectors, Projects, contractors and stakeholder s to check that key risks are reported and managed in accordance with process, liaising with other contract administrators as appropriate e.g. early warnings, risk review meetings, etc.
- Assist Project Risk Managers to review contractor risks and risk management performance.
- Carry out quantitative assessment of the risk exposure for both cost and time at the Sector and Project level to inform the Sector Leadership and Programme.
- Work with the Head of Programme Risk to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the risk management processes and systems across the organisation.
- Provide such additional support to the Sector Executive team as may be required from time to time.
- Actively promote the awareness and application of risk management across the organisation, helping to establish a pro-active risk management culture throughout the programme.
- Co-operate with the client in all matters relating to health and safety, including following safe working procedures at all times
- Promote equality in the workplace and adopt appropriate behavior when interacting with colleagues
To be considered for the position of Risk Manager, candidates will have significant experience working in a risk management role on a major engineering programme. You will have experience of conducting cost and schedule risk assessments and have the ability to produce quantitative risk models using @Risk and PRA (Pertmaster). You will have experience using Active Risk Manager (ARM) or a similar risk database.
