Shift Delivery Manager

Location - Ilford, Redbridge (East London) and Old Oak Common

MTR Crossrail have an exciting opportunity to be part of the award winning Fleet Delivery team. As a Shift Delivery Manager you will be working with our partner train maintainers to deliver the fleets safely into service each day. You will be responsible for balancing daily availability and world class quality while liaising with stakeholders across all the operational areas of the business.

This challenging role will initially be based in Ilford Depot but will soon be mainly located at the state of the art purpose built depot in Old Oak Common. This once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of the introduction and operation of The Elizabeth Line will involve working shifts. On a daily basis, you will liaise with maintainers, senior managers and MTR Crossrail Control to ensure defects are managed and cleared, planned maintenance is completed on time and trains are allocated to the correct diagrams. MTR Crossrail and our Client share high standards of maintenance, fault finding and presentation and the Shift Delivery Managers are accountable for this. This is a fast paced role which needs someone, keen, flexible and skilled in the art of negotiation.

Applicants should have management experience and hold either a technical apprenticeship or an engineering degree ideally with a railway background. You must be good at forging and maintaining strong, positive relationships and contract management experience is desirable.
