SITE MANAGER - RAIL - NORTH WEST - PERMANENT

Site Manager currently required to join a growing Network Rail contractor in the North West. The successful Site Manager will have experience of working as a Site Manager in the Rail industry in over the last couple of years, and will ideally have 5 years experience. Works are varied, but will mainly consist of civil engineering works, in a railway setting. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager for the region, the successful Site Manager should be willing to cover a number of sites and travel between them, whilst ensuring a high standard of Health and Safety at all times.

Responsibilities:

• To undertake the planning and management of individual sites within a portfolio of works. Responsible for ensuring health safety and quality standards are maintained on site and working within the Clients management system
• Both site based and office based
• Undertaking site inductions, white board meetings and ensuring all works are clearly outlined
• Management of a number of site based teams to ensure the effective delivery of ongoing works and ensuring the works are completed on time, within budget and with zero Health & Safety issues
• Assisting the Site Agent with project delivery
• Ensuring accurate reporting of any accidents and incidents
• Client liaison
• Providing progress updates on a daily, weekly and monthly basis where necessary

Requirements:

• 5 years experience as a Site Manager on civils and rail projects
• Minor works, Bridges and Structures experience
• HNC in relevant discipline or higher
• SMSTS 5 day
• PTS
• Good understanding and use of Microsoft Word and Excel
