Site Manager
Sheffield
THE COMPANY
Our client is a rail civil engineering specialist working in the sector for 30 years, who in recent times have taken the market by storm and made a name for themselves, working as both PC and sub-contractor to Tier ones. Their unique – yet strong – position within the industry has enabled them to not only win a heavy pipeline of projects, but also to have a full order book for the next couple of years.
With such a heavy workload, they’re on the lookout for two Site Managers to join the team out of their Sheffield office!
IDEAL CANDIDATE
As with any company, skillset is incredibly important in securing a new role and so they are looking for Site Managers who can come in and hit the ground running, demonstrating rail civil engineering experience. With the company being a PC to Network Rail, you must have experience managing the contract – and client – successfully as this will contribute heavily to the business maintaining their formidable reputation in the industry.
Culture fit is just as important as skillset here, so if you’re put off by working additional hours, performing responsibilities outside your remit and undertaking additional training to advance your skillset/career, then this wouldn’t be the right fit for you. On the other hand, if you’re reading this yearning for the chance to prove yourself and flourish within a business, you need to apply ASAP!
ABOUT THE JOB
As an experienced Site Manager, you will understand due to the nature of the role, you will be required to travel to projects. You will be covering a broad patch across Yorkshire whilst reporting into the Sheffield office, with the projects focussing around earthworks and enabling works schemes. You must have experience in a similar environment as they are looking for Site Managers who can walk on to site and get cracking – is this the golden opportunity for you?
REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for the Site Manager role, you MUST have experience within rail working on both earthworks and civils schemes. It is crucial you have experience managing work sites and teams and must be a holder of PTS & SMSTS cards. A bonus would be if you hold a HNC/HND/Degree within civil engineering, although this is not essential.
PACKAGE
For this Site Manager position, the client is offering a cracking competitive salary plus car/car allowance and an excellent package, to be expected from a company of this size.
