Randstad CPE currently has an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager/Agent with Rail experience to get involved on various projects on a freelance basis. This role will be based around Salford, Manchester. This is a massive opportunity for any ambitious Site Manager looking for a rolling contract and being on board with a forward thinking rail contractor
The Contractor
Privately owned company established in 2007. Since then the company has grown steadily and built strong, long lasting partnerships with its clients. As the company developed they have set up dedicated divisions to cover rail infrastructure including Civil Engineering, Communications, Permanent Way, alongside Civil Engineering & Building projects within the Airport Sector.
Role & Responsibilities
- As well as demonstrating competence in subordinates key objectives
- To co-ordinate all technical aspects, procure materials timorously and co-ordinate sub-contractors.
- Ensure that quality and costs are controlled
- Liaise with employers representatives to raise and answer queries - Monitor additional work, day work and/or delays to ensure that costs are recouped -
- Monitor progress against master programme, identify anomalies and implement rectification - Monitor quality, safety and environmental systems to ensure compliance to management systems
- Monitor temporary works to ensure they are fit for use - Short term programming to monitor against master programme
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
- Rail experience is needed.
- SMSTS
- OLEC and PTS
- Excellent Communication skills both written and verbally
- UK Driving Licence
