Site Manager in Leeds, Yorkshire, United Kingdom
We are currently seeking to employ a Site Manager to work for our client, a Principal Contractor operating within the Rail Industry as part of their Civil Engineering/Bridges) team based throughout the Yorkshire region.
As a Site Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of schemes within the rail industry, with typical duties being :
• Manage delivery on site of Network Rail and rail related contracts to requisite performance criteria.
• Plan, co-ordinate & motivate effective deployment of allocated personnel and resources.
• Accept, control and reconcile works materials and equipment necessary to achieve the contract works.
• Implement site method statements and contract plans to achieve, as a minimum, the Client’s requirement and specification.
• Promote and implement site specific management plans to ensure site activities comply with CML Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies.
• Provide guidance and practical advice to site personnel for the competent execution of the contract works.
• Liaise with the Project/Contracts Manager at all stages of the contract works.
• Analyse and report contract performance.
It is essential that you will have considerable experience of working on civil engineering and build schemes within the rail industry and with experience of managing sites and site based teams. Rail experience is required, as is experience of bridge schemes.
