About the role/project:
This post requires a NEBOSH qualified safety professional, with a good understanding of the railway environment, experience of providing general advice on H, S & E governance of providing advice on compliance with business Standards and Procedures.
What you will do:
It is expected that the individual selected will have demonstrable experience of carrying out this type of role within the railway environment. The selected person will be required to collaborate with workforce across the business, to give support to the business on day-to-day H,S & E activities. Additionally, the person must have the ability to work with colleagues from all levels of the business structure.
The persons will need to have good I.T. skills on Microsoft programmes and be able to demonstrate their understanding of health and safety legislation.
This post will require travelling and night work.
Your experience will include:
Essential
* Health, Safety or Risk related qualification (such as a NEBOSH diploma) or ability to gain similar
Desirable
- Degree in Health, Safety or Risk related subject
- Understanding of the role of bow-ties in identifying risk controls
- Understanding of CSM and experience in developing and maintaining a Health & Safety Management System
- Experience of participating in or arranging Safety Validation panels or similar
- Experience of working within a railway, construction or similar environment
