The planning lead is responsible for establishing and maintaining the overall time plan for the Change Programme including; assuring the activities in the plan - monitoring, reporting and prompting control of performance against it, with the Head of Change Programme Controls develop and agree the work breakdown structure for the programme. Ensure that the schedule hierarchy and schedule structure reflects the WBS, prepare and maintain a robust and realistic integrated master schedule for the total Programme highlighting critical milestones relating to key activities, deliverables and interfaces. Other responsibilities include clarifying and maintaining the visibility of programme interface requirements and dependencies; ensure that responsibilities for the management of interfaces are clearly assigned and understood. Collate regular ad-hoc reports to provide a timely overview of programme time performance on an exception basis, develop and present regular forecasts of anticipated milestone achievements and maintain an up-to-date view of the expected completion date for the Programme, recomend programme level actions where appropriate to mitigate potential time over-runs. In the context of the plan, assure the activities in individual service area plans providing robust challenge where appropriate. Assist Service Area Lead to ensure that adequate, but not excessive time provision is included in individual project schedules to allow for overall Programme integration. Ensure the effective management of the time contingency built into the Programme for programme level risks to ensure that contingency allowances reflect the current programme position. Inter-personal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels of the organisation and external stakeholders, and be able to deliver outputs to tight deadlines in a highly pressured environment demonstrating flexibility, determination and resillience. Also futher being able to work autonomously or in a team environment, motivating self and others with effective engagement.
