Location (s): Coulsdon/Scunthorpe
Role and Responsibilities
- Ability to produce and update the project plan ensuring alignment with contract requirements on time and key dates.
- Ensuring the project plan reflects the resource profile and budget for the contract.
- You will be required to manage the update and formal issue of the project plan as the contract progresses identifying and providing the Project Manager with key metrics.
- Contributes to and monitors relevant Project KPI's.
- Aligns the project to the budget identifying alternative methods and sequencing of tasks to maximise efficiency and reduce cost as the works progress.
- Support the sales and business development process.
- Support the preparation of valuations, reports, correspondence associated with the contract.
- To assist and support contracts other than those directly allocated.
- Attending management meetings when required.
- Assisting business development in the preparation of proposals, estimates and tenders as required.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate must have experience of project management processes and providing contributions which make a difference. The candidate must also be able to work effectively under pressure, to tight deadlines, manage workload and multiple activities, as it is a high profile and demanding environment.
Essentials
- Relevant University Degree.
- Must have rail industry experience.
- A minimum of 8 years relevant experience in planning and execution of projects in the rail sector.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in the daily of project planning software.
