Mane are recruiting for a Junior Planner to work on a 5 month contract in Newcastle. We are recruiting for a Tendering, Costing and Planning Trainee to join our clients team.The Project Execution business supports sites across Northern Europe and Middle East, although this role is based in Newcastle upon Tyne and is primarily focused on projects based at sites across the UK & Ireland.

What are my responsibilities?
* Creation of the execution model at project concept phase, supported by the Tendering and
Costing team
* Calculating the firm project cost using Primavera and providing the associated Project Schedule
for the Project Manager and execution teams.
* Evaluate project tailored solutions considering execution methods, choice of contracting model,
weather data analysis and customer & country specific requirements.
* Ongoing scheduling support for projects in execution phase
* Project and departmental reporting.
* Supporting the Project Management Office in continuous improvement activities, process reviews
and implementation of lessons learned.
* Partnership with Field Resource Managers to ensure appropriate resources are available to
complete Operational works within budget & schedule (staff & sub-contractors).
* Partnership with Project Management team to ensure projects are delivering expected results and
support with scenario analysis to support this.
* Support the Project Management team with Primavera skills development.

What do I need to qualify for this job?
* Previous systems experience (SAP, Oracle, Elipse, Primavera etc.) - Primavera training can be
provided
* Good Excel skills
* Educated to A'Level or HND level as a minimum.
* Confidence to lead discussions with management team.

Desired skills to have.
* Understanding of Operational and LEAN methodologies, standards and practice.
* Experienced in project planning and/or resource management
* Basic working knowledge of the wind industry is preferable
