Contract Term: To March 31st

Location: Hybrid (3 days at London Puddle Dock, 2 days WFH)

As a Planning Assistant your main key responsibility would be to:
- To assist in the development of an optimised, integrated and safe access strategy for Line blockages.
- Engaging with stakeholders such as Network Rail maintenance teams and major projects to build and support a plan that is essential to the routes needs.
- Support the Planning Team to deliver all activities associated with planning for possessions, worksites, line blockages, TSR’s, On Track Machines and Engineering Trains in accordance with all relevant standards.
- Process and support Route access requirements and successfully integrate within the engineering access plan.
- Attendance, and when required co-chairing possession planning meetings including producing, checking, validating publications and updates as necessary.
- Assist and support with the creation of materials and documentation to aid the operational delivery of the engineering access plan.
- Engage with Route wide stakeholders and customers and support with the coordination of their access requirements.
- Assist and support with the identification and implementation of quality and efficiency improvements
Essential Experience:
- SSOWPS Experience OR Green Zone Access (GZAC) / Railhub Experience
- Safe Line Blockage Planning Experience
- Knowledge of relevant railway geography
- Knowledge of Network Rail business and planned activities.
- Able to validate worksite requests.
- Able to document all aspects of worksite and possession parameters.
