My client is currently looking for a Senior Project Planner to join their team in London, where you will be working on one of the largest rail projects in Europe.

It is essential that the successful candidate must have 10 years + UK M&E rail experience for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce comprehensive, logic linked, project plans. This will need to incorporate resource and skills planning, materials planning, cost estimating, earned value forecasting and reporting.

Continuously monitor project plans to accurately reflect progress and maintain accurate money spent on the project to date against project delivery objectives

Critical works are identified and action plans are developed and implemented to maximise project quality, cost and delivery objectives.

Accurate reporting on Work Package progress, co-ordinates all functional activity on the project and ensures that problems and bottlenecks are anticipated and resolved in a timely manner to prevent negative impact on the project.

Risk and mitigation plans are maintained to manage critical issues, which is demonstrated in project plans.

The provision of sufficiently accurate data to enable the Work Package Managers and Project Managers to ensure that coordinated project activity complies with project targets.

Regular project co-ordination meetings are held on the status of the project with specific reference to signalling activity, sourcing, quality, cost and delivery.

Participation in the continuous improvement of planning and scheduling processes to support successful project delivery.

Key Requirements:

Have a clear knowledge of project planning processes and project life cycle

Knowledge of Primavera P6 (P3e, P3) and a working knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.

Experience in a Project Planner / Scheduling role

NEC contract experience

10 years plus MEP experience
