SYSTRA are looking to expand our Signature Team in the UK, working on high profile infrastructure projects such as Crossrail and HS2, we are building on our 50 years of success in the UK by growing our team and looking for passionate people to deliver projects across our portfolio.

We are now seeking to strengthen and grow our Engineering team in our Birmingham office, initially working as part of our Main Works Civils High Speed 2 project team, by recruiting an experienced Planning Manager.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a range of experience within the Civil Engineering/Transportation/Infrastructure sectors.

Main Duties

• Overall management of the planning function across the project
• Front office role within the PMO organisation, as part of an integrated project team, co-located with the client
• Ownership of the planning strategy and process across all production teams including standardisation of tools, process and procedures to ensure a consistent output
• Senior planning interface with the client organisation and key external stakeholders
• Implementation of current industry best practice across the project
• Key role in managing delivery of the project to cost/programme
• Overall responsibility for managing the planning of a complex, multi-site joint venture, for collating, aggregating and communicating planning metrics to the project leadership team on a periodic basis
• Defining/implementing the project controls interfaces with partners/sub-contractors
• Key interface with cost control manager and commercial manager as part of a high performing PMO team
• Transversal interface with sub-lot planning managers in UK and global design centres
• Monitoring compliance to SYSTRA group-wide project controls processes

Experience

• Experience of NEC contracts and the production of baseline programmes
• Experience of setting up earned value within the construction and rail sector
• Experience with Primavera (P6)
• Association of Project Management APM, PRINCE 2 or industry equivalent
• Experience of possession planning
• Software experience in Xactium and/or @Risk
