An opportunity has arisen for a Possession Planner required to join the QTS Group office in South Cerney, Swindon, to assist with the delivery of various frameworks for Network Rail.

The successful candidate will have experience of working as a Possessions Planner and will have an excellent understanding of GZAC, PPS, completing SWPs and booking line blockages for Civils and Vegetation Management departments.

The key responsibilities of the role are detailed below.

• Arranging line blockages through the use of Gzac system
• Producing and maintaining possession plans within the PPS system
• Keeping records of SWPs and worksites using various tracker systems
• Resolving possession and worksite conflicts with NWR and other contractors
• Applying appropriate planning, safety and performance measures
• Attending the relevant planning integration meetings on a regular basis
• Train and support current SWP planner
• Booking isolations within worksites

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years possession planning experience
• Proven track record in possession planning and completing SWPs
• Establish and maintain excellent working relationships within Network Rail and other contractors
• Excellent understanding of access planning processes and systems with detailed knowledge of relevant standards and procedures
• Full UK driving license

Desired but not essential:

• COSS or ES Certification
• NROL
