My client, who is a major civil engineering company, is looking to recruit a Senior Project Planner to join their team and help support the Planning Manager on a large scale civil engineering project in Norwich.

Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include but not be limited to:

- Developing, maintaining and communicating programmes and other time related material
- Support planning manager on collating and preparing the monthly programme submission
- Measure progress weekly, analyse deviations and work with the project teams to propose and implement mitigations
- Work closely and support project teams to provide schedule visibility, to achieve buy in of schedule, prepare what if scenarios.
- Analysing changes to construction sequence and producing programmes to reveal the potential pros/cons attributable to Value Engineering options
- Support the commercial team in preparing compensation events
- Preparation, monitoring, and reporting of resourced programmes. Prepare weekly work plans / look aheads to submit to client
- Developing relationships with client representatives

Required Knowledge and Experience

- Heavy Civils experience
- Experience in design and consents processes.
- Critical path management
- Ability to create project schedules from plans and analyse information to prepare reports on progress.
- Earn Value management
- Progress measurement experience (quantity tracking) and reporting in different stages of the Life cycle of the project
Advance knowledge of MS Excel
- Good written English skills.
- Min 5 years planning experience with P6.
- Experience in NEC3 and managing schedules and subcontractors under NEC3.
