THE ROLE

The Senior Planner is responsible for the overall integrity and coherence of the Group Project and Resource Programmes. They will develop and maintain the planning environment, processes and systems to support each individual area of the business. You will be tasked with delivering an effective, efficient, and safe service to the company and responsible for the coordination of a group master project programme from bid enquiry to completion (inclusive of design) - whilst capturing resources, plant, logistics and support cash flow processes to a successful, timely, and efficient delivery.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Provide input and guidance regarding resources at project bid stage.
• Manage and coordinate the team of planners to monitor projects based on SMART Objectives to deliver business activities, monitor project progress to allow project managers to ascertain baseline movement, variations, change, cost forecast and resource profiles whilst ensuring their skills and development matches the business needs and that they proactively provide feedback including challenging critical paths, lags etc.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure all relevant project information is identified and entered into the finance software packages.
• Ensure the Planners are supported and make effective use of resources and can maintain their schedule of works.
• Ensure programme resource requirements including staff and skills requirements are accurately identified and forecast/ provided to the workforce resourcing team and other relevant departments.
• Keep Project Milestones under review and report as required whilst identifying and oversee early warnings and preparation of compensation events across all programmes.
• Ensure all management information around programmes from Planning Engineers is provided on time and satisfies requirements, also that schedule, revenue, risk, change and report data integrity is maintained across all programmes.
• Analyse and review schedules in accordance with company procedures and provide management reports as and when required to the Delivery Director and/or Operations Manager
• Achieve positive outcomes by actively managing relationships with multiple stakeholders
• Manage and monitor P6 administration - Adding/deleting users, Maintaining EPS, OBS, RBS and Amending enterprise security settings.
• Maintain global codes, layouts and calendars.
