Job title: TPS – Planning Delivery Assistant

Location: Doncaster

Hours: 35 Hours – 9am till 5pm, Monday to Friday

Samuel Knight International are looking to recruit a Planning delivery assistant for our client who are an international leader in customer service and contract management.

This candidate will have the responsibility of converting customer forecasted demand into an efficient plan used to benefit both the customer and the client. This candidate will also have to deal with STP paths, converting them into valid bids to Network Rail and for input into the timetable and also to further optimise the existing working time table paths.

Main responsibilities:

• Follow industry guidelines to time services, ensuring that the client paths are maintained at all times.
• Assist to ensure all the national time scales for the production of timetables is met and that the working time table are reflected correctly.
• Ensure the clients time tables are ran and planned through the most efficient route available using internal journey database by challenging Network Rail timetable and making sure information you have is up to date at all times.
• Ensure that there are always adequate locomotives/wagons in line with the contractual obligations and customer forecast.
• Responsibility of efficiency of the diagramming and planning output to maintain an efficient and effective product.
• Maintain the level of identification of plans that drive poor resource usage and solutions to improve the efficiency.
• Work in line with key improvement metrics.
• Ensure that Traincrew diagrams and rotas ae always kept compliant with Traincrew terms and conditions.
• Work alongside relevant stakeholders, product and deliver workable efficient plans, diagrams and rotas, which meet all needs of the customer base and make efficient use of locomotive, wagon and driver resources.
• Support the Rail Solutions team in the development of train plans ensuring they align to the demanding forecast.
• Work to agree the productivity improvements on clients key metrics.
• Support the Business Solutions Manager and Rail Solutions Manager to deliver efficiency and optimisation opportunities.
