The Role

We are currently seeking a Infrastructure Rail Services Team Member to support our mission to provide a safe and dependable tram service. The main purpose of this role is to undertake work to the MML Rail Services Infrastructure ensuring it is carried out in a safe and efficient manner, compliant with applicable standards.

Key responsibilities include:

Ensuring that inspection and maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner and in compliance with the planned maintenance schedule

Ensuring that work tasks follow the correct procedures

Reporting all work activities and faults to the Rail Services Team Leader

Assisting with overhead line equipment repairs and maintenance

Overseeing contractors carrying out planned works

Project working and designing installations

Assisting in the commissioning of new systems

What you’ll need:

Experience of working as part of a team

The ability to make decisions

A good working knowledge of rail or light rail infrastructure, permanent way and overhead line systems

Experience of track and maintenance practices and plant

Recognised qualifications in permanent way and track maintenance or equivalent

The ability to drive various machinery and plant

A trustworthy, reliable and punctual approach

A full, clean UK driving licence
