The Opportunity

Arc Infrastructure’s network control team forms a critical part of our business, as it holds the primary responsibility for the safe, economical and effective monitoring and control of train services across our entire rail network. We currently have an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in pursuing a career as a Network/Train Controller on a 2 year fixed-term contract.

About You

The successful applicant will be offered a training opportunity, initially shadowing current members of the team in order to learn and develop skills and knowledge in the areas of scheduling, rail safe working and other areas required for the role of a Network Controller.

To be successful in the role of a Network Controller you must possess:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong organisation, spatial awareness and concentration as well as sound analytical skills;
  • Resilience and ability to stay calm in emergency situations; and
  • Flexibility to work rotating shift rosters, which cover 24/7 operations;

Our offices are based in Midland working 12 hour shifts over a 38 hour (average) working week on a rolling roster. This is an autonomous role working in a friendly team environment with a wide range of employee benefits.
