Job Summary
VolkerRail Plant is looking to recruit Driver Maintainer Operators for the OTM Tamping Contract.
You will be required to undertake all aspects of OTM driving, operations and maintenance across the On-Track Machine fleet.
Your role will take you to many varied locations across the UK, working as part of a close team.
Job Requirements
To be eligible to apply you must meet with the following criteria:
- Be either a trained apprentice in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or possess an NVQ level 3 (mechanical or electrical) or equivalent.
- Hold a valid and current Train Driver Competency.
- Have successfully completed the OEM training and be competent for Machine Maintenance & Repairs, or be eligible to complete training in this regard.
- Have successfully completed the Train Driver Rules & Regulations assessment.
- Have knowledge of Railway Standards in relation to Track Geometry to enable all operational delivery requirements to be met.
- Be flexible in your approach and willing to work nights, weekends and lodge away from home.
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- A responsible attitude and high level of safety awareness.
