Driver Manager
Location: Birmingham New Street, Snow Hill and Bletchley

To strengthen our management team as we look forward to the future, we are looking to appoint a Driver Manager at our Birmingham New Street, Birmingham Snow Hill and Bletchley depots. Our Driver Managers lead a team of drivers in ensuring operational safety whilst contributing to improve train performance and achieving customer satisfaction targets.
You will have had a minimum of 4 years recent train driving experience on Network Rail Infrastructure, (ETDL regulations) a thorough knowledge of operational rules and regulations and experience of managing safety and quality standards.
You will also be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills, a strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver business objectives in a demanding operational environment.
A highly motivated individual, you’ll bring to the role proven experience both as driver and manager. You’re able to assess driving competence, update route risk and safety information, and develop training.
Ideally, you’ll also have customer service experience. You’ll certainly demonstrate a genuine passion for customer satisfaction. Naturally, you’ll have a strong understanding of the rules, regulations, safety and quality standards associated with train driving. And you’ll have the ability to interpret data and technical information and communicate clearly with others. You’re confident when dealing with difficult situations, and you have a flair for coaching and motivation.
The role will involve shift work and on-call duties, therefore it is important you are able to commit with this flexibility requirement.
