Train Driver
Locations: London

Role type: Permenant
Hours: 35 hours per week

• Responsible for the safe, efficient and productive operation of trains
• Carry out train driving duties in accordance with laid down procedures.
• Ensure safety of the line and all employees and public that may be affected by the operation of trains.
• Undertake locomotive preparation and disposal duties, and carry out safety checks.
• Undertake in-service locomotive and train fault finding and assist in repairs where competent.
• Record and report locomotive and train defects in accordance with Rulebook and Company Procedures
• Undertake route learning as directed and sign for routes after sufficient time for learning.
• Assist maintenance/servicing staff undertaking maintenance/servicing activities, as required where competent.
• Work various shift patterns including nights, weekends and bank holidays.
• Ensure the highest level of professionalism when dealing with other individuals within the company, clients and members of the public.
• Any other reasonable duties as required from time to time.

Person Specification

The job holder will have

• Experience train driving
• Route knowledge preferable
• Basic wagon knowledge
• Personal Track Safety
• Loads Examiner knowledge (where required by the business)

This is a passanger train driver position but we can consider Drivers with Freight experience so it is worth gettign in touch to speak to our consultants and explain your experience!

Unfortunatly we can not consider Trainees at this stage.
