Train Driver – Various locations

DB Cargo has multiple opportunities available for qualified train drivers in various locations for the new role of ‘Train Driver’.

The roles will be based in the following geographical areas: East Midlands, West Midlands, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and West London.

We’re looking for qualified mainline train drivers that have:

• UK or European Train Driving License
• A proven Safety of the Line record
• A manual road vehicle driving license
• Current certificates/competencies
• A flexible approach to work
• A great attitude
• A passion for safety and customer service.

What you’ll be doing

As Train Driver you will be responsible for driving and operating trains to deliver rail services to our customers. You will directly contribute to our service delivery and have the opportunity to influence the service offering to our customers.

Your route learning and retention of route knowledge will be supported by a new web based delivery solution accessed via a tablet.

Train Drivers will work a base contract of 192 working instances based on 1595 hours per year, with 172 days free from duty each calendar year.
