Job title: Technical Train Inspector
Job location: Manchester / North West
Salary: £44-50kpa - 2 year Fixed Term Contract
Role
This position requires an experienced rolling stock technician who is confident offering technical support for both electrical and mechanical train systems. You will ensure the safe and reliable delivery of train services for an operational EMU fleet. You will be confident with fault find and fix and have strong communication skills providing support to operational staff and the technical investigations teams.
Essential
*Minimum of C&G level 3 engineering qualification
*Fault finding & rectification experience for rolling stock
Desirable
*Pragmatic & Analytically Minded and able to work independently with little direction
*Experience from within train riding, train control or technical support is highly desirable
*Experience working with fleets in service and preparing trains for service is desirable
*Experience reporting failures / faults or involvement in technical reporting is highly desirable
*The ideal candidate will be dual skilled
