Technical Trainer / Rolling Stock

“Have you got oodles of experience on Turbostars and Electrostars as a technical trainer… if so have I got a contract role for you!”

You will be working for a Train Operating Company who are based in the South East. This TOC operate throughout London and the South East providing passenger services and managing multiple stations. You will be brought in as a contractor to provide additional support to the training department, this requirement has come about due to a successful recruitment drive resulting in numerous new starters who require top notch training on the company’s existing fleet.

You’re the ideal candidate for the role if you;

• Are an experienced Fleet Technical Trainer
• Have experience on Electrostar & Turbostar Rolling Stock
• Have a recognised Trainer qualification (Certified Technical Trainer)
• Come from a Rail engineering / maintenance background

Within this role you will work in a team of 2 and be responsible for training a team of approx. 14 new starters on the company’s fleet of trains. The delegates will be engineers with limited to zero knowledge of Rolling Stock, it will be your role as Technical Trainer to train them up to company standards utilitising speclist training techniques. Although this is a contract position you will receive training on the company’s specific internal processes and training standards (what they do and how they do it) prior to starting with your group.

To be considered for this ROLE you will need;

• Relevant Engineering qualification
• Rail background
• Minimum of 2 years on specific fleet (Electrostar / Turbostar) either on the tools or from a training capacity
• Recognised Training qualification
