Senior Tunnel Ventilation Engineer
Permanent | South East England | Hybrid
Join a leading engineering consultancy delivering major UK and international tunnel infrastructure projects.
We're looking for an experienced Senior Tunnel Ventilation Engineer to lead the design and assessment of tunnel ventilation and fire life safety systems across rail, road and underground projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tunnel ventilation designs and assessments.
- Undertake SES, IDA Tunnel and CFD modelling.
- Develop fire, smoke control and ventilation strategies.
- Support testing, commissioning and asset performance reviews.
- Build strong client relationships and support business growth.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence.
About You
- Proven experience in tunnel ventilation design and asset management.
- Strong knowledge of SES, IDA Tunnel and CFD tools (FDS, Pyrosim, Pathfinder).
- Understanding of fire dynamics, smoke control and relevant industry standards.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working with UK rail or transport infrastructure projects.
