Dispute/ Arbitration Specialist (Rail) - PhilippinesDuration: Long-Term AssignmentEmployer: International Consultancy (on behalf of the End Client)Project: Donor-Funded Rail Infrastructure Programme Overview:EWI, the world leading Infrastructure specialist is seeking an experienced Dispute &amp; Arbitration Specialist to support a high-profile, donor-funded rail project in the Philippines. This long-term position will be embedded within an international consultancy, acting on behalf of the end client to manage and resolve disputes across multiple work packages. Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Handle on behalf of the client in all Dispute Board and arbitration proceedings.</li><li>Lead the resolution of complex contractual disputes, with a strong focus on land acquisition-related issues.</li><li>Coordinate with legal teams, project managers, and external stakeholders to prepare documentation and strategy.</li><li>Advise on dispute avoidance and mitigation strategies across various packages.</li><li>Ensure compliance with donor regulations and local legal frameworks.</li><li>Maintain detailed records of dispute history, outcomes, and lessons learned.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Proven experience in dispute resolution, arbitration, or contract management on major infrastructure projects.</li><li>Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts and donor-funded project frameworks.</li><li>Prior exposure to land acquisition disputes is highly desirable.</li><li>Excellent communication and negotiation skills.</li><li>Willingness to be based in the Philippines for the duration of the project.</li></ul> Package: The package is expected to be in the region of $12-16,000 per month tax free with allowances for accommodation, travel etc. Key Words / SEORail, Metro, Contract Manager, Claims, Arbitration, Dispute Board, Civil, Structural, Architectural, M&amp;E, Systems, Signalling, Rolling Stock, Stations, Tender evaluation, contract award, Construction Supervision, Consultancy, Consulting Engineer, FIDIC, ADB, World Bank, JICA, South East Asia, Philippines ewi is an international consultancy focused on the search &amp; selection of the Worlds leading engineering and construction professionals.
