Salary: Circa £45,000-£50,000(dependent on skill, knowledge and experience)

Contract: Permanent / Full Time / Hybrid

Hybrid working, within this role enables a balance of 50% of time split between the office and home over a 4-week period. Hybrid working arrangements can evolve subject to business requirements.

Overview of Role

The Asset Data and Planning Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and effective use of asset management data to support safe, reliable, and efficient asset delivery and maintenance. The role provides expert guidance on Asset Management Information Systems (AMIS), including delivering training to London Trams staff and ensuring system controls align with industry best practice and TfL standards. Through the management of asset data across its full life cycle—from creation and maintenance through to decommissioning—the post holder ensures asset records, maintenance regimes, and work plans are correctly structured, approved, and loaded into asset management systems such as Ellipse and Maximo via the Asset Data Management Function.

The role supports strategic and operational planning by producing scheduled asset plans, managing daily failure reporting and corrective work orders, and chairing daily and weekly planning and performance meetings with senior managers and delivery teams.

Key Accountabilities

• Accountable developing guidance and delivery of AMIS training to LT staff.

• Develop and ensure system control in line with good industry practice and TfL standards.

• Run LT Daily failure meetings managing daily failure reporting with Senior Infrastructure and Asset Manager's.

• Schedule asset management data to produce weekly work packages from weekly to three year schedules.

• Manage weekly planning meetings with Asset Delivery Managers on their weekly to three yearly work plans/packages.

• Prepare asset data changes ensuring asset data is in the correct format for load and meets the data integrity rules and ensure data changes are correctly loaded into the Asset Management System(s).

• Ensure asset records and associated data attributes are accurately registered / decommissioned in the asset and associated systems.

• Review and approve asset data changes submitted by projects and maintenance to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Supports the Asset Manager

- Accountable for preparation of asset maintenance data with Asset Manager's including handover including Maintenance Regimes, Standard Jobs, Work Groups).

- Provide and manage lifecycle data asset from cradle to grave from Asset Management System - Ellipse/Maximo.

- Ensure asset data is loaded and managed via Asset Data Management Function (ADMF)

Skills

• Literate and flexible in the use of spreadsheets and databases

• Knowledge of maintenance delivery processes desirable

• Work Planning Processes and Systems

• Working knowledge of TfL asset data change processes, requirements and standards.

• Knowledge of TfL Project Management processes with a specific focus on asset data deliverable requirements and timings.

• Knowledge of the Asset Data Structure (including associated maintenance regime data) in the Asset Management System(s) (Ellipse, Maximo, FDM) and an appreciation of how the Asset Management System(s) support the asset management processes.

• Basic technical knowledge of the physical assets managed in Trams or Railway environment.

Experience

• Experience of working with Asset Planning Processes and reporting tools (FDM, BOXI, Axiom, Power BI etc..)

• Experience with Asset Maintenance Systems and Asset Data within similar in an engineering environment. (Ellipse/Maximo)

• Experience of using Asset Management System(s) asset registers.
