Brief Description
Your role as an Asset Engineer (R&E) will be to determine renewal requirements and develop allocated [Signalling] engineering renewal and enhancement requirements. You will produce specifications and acceptance criteria for [Signalling] engineering works to achieve the required scope and quality in accordance with company engineering policies.
About the role (External)
We’re looking for a motivated individual to support the development and prioritisation of renewal proposals within the [Signalling] engineering workbank. This role plays a key part in shaping the national business plan by inspecting proposals, conducting asset condition inspections, and contributing to engineering verification activities. You’ll also support incident investigations and ensure completed schemes meet their original remit.
Maintaining accurate records of asset configuration and modification history is essential, as is identifying and escalating issues of national significance. Your work will directly inform the [Signalling] asset condition database and help shape future renewals. If you’re passionate about engineering excellence and want to make a meaningful impact on the railway network, we’d love to hear from you.
