Commercial Manager Rail

Are you a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager with strong Network Rail experience?

Are you looking to join a growing organisation delivering projects across the UK rail network?

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum
Location: Birmingham, 3 days in office per week

An opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Manager to join an established organisation delivering works within the rail sector. Based in Birmingham, you'll take responsibility for the commercial management of Network Rail projects, working closely with operational and project teams to ensure strong commercial performance.

This role could suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to step into a Commercial Manager position, provided you have a solid understanding of Network Rail projects and commercial processes.

Essential requirements:

• Previous commercial or Quantity Surveying experience within rail.
• Strong Network Rail experience and understanding of the client environment.
• Experience managing project costs, variations, valuations and commercial reporting.
• Good contractual and commercial awareness.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project and operational teams.

Nice to have:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager level.
• Experience across multiple Network Rail projects or frameworks.
