Contracts Manager - Power and Distribution

Our client, a leading Tier 1 contractor in the UK is expanding their Power & Energy Division and as such are seeking to employ an experienced Contracts Manager to play a leading role in the delivery of major Transmission & Distribution infrastructure projects across the UK. This position can be based from most locations in the UK, however travel is part of the role.

As the energy sector continues to evolve, significant investment is being made into the UKs electricity network to support decarbonisation, renewable generation and long-term energy security. Our teams are at the forefront of delivering the civil engineering and building infrastructure that enables this transformation, working alongside some of the countrys most important energy providers and network operators.

About the Role

As Contracts Manager, you will provide operational leadership across a portfolio of T&D projects, ensuring safe, efficient and commercially successful delivery from pre-construction through to completion.

You will work closely with our estimating, commercial and operational teams to develop delivery strategies, support tender activities and ensure projects are mobilised effectively. Building strong relationships with clients, supply chain partners and key stakeholders will be central to your success.

This is a highly visible role where youll influence project performance, drive operational excellence and help shape the future growth of our Power & Energy business.

Duties involve

Lead the safe and successful delivery of multiple Power T&D projects across a national portfolio.
Ensure projects are delivered on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Drive operational performance across all stages of project delivery, from mobilisation through to close-out.
Work alongside commercial and estimating teams to identify opportunities, manage risks and maximise project performance.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients including National Grid, SSE, SPEN, NGED and other network operators.
Lead, mentor and develop project teams, creating a high-performance culture focused on safety, quality and delivery excellence.
