Are you passionate about using digital technology to transform the delivery of major infrastructure projects?

Do you enjoy implementing innovative solutions that improve the way engineering and construction teams work?

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience)
Location: London, Birmingham, Derby or Epsom (3 days in office, 2 from home). Occasional travel to site.

My client is looking to hire two Digital Project Engineers to join their growing Digital Delivery team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping how digital technologies are adopted across major infrastructure projects, working with multidisciplinary teams to drive innovation, improve efficiency and support project delivery.

This is far more than a traditional BIM or Information Management role. You'll help identify, develop and implement new digital solutions across the project lifecycle, working closely with both design teams and site teams to improve the way projects are delivered.

Essential Requirements:

  • 4 to 6 years experience delivering digital, BIM or information management solutions within engineering or construction projects.
  • Experience using ProjectWise or similar common data environments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Interest in innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across both office and site environments.

Desirable

  • Experience within the rail sector.
  • Experience implementing digital tools across major infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of Everfile or similar construction management platforms.
  • Experience with automation, digital workflows, AI or emerging technologies.
  • Experience within sectors such as nuclear, water or other complex infrastructure environments.

The role will involve:

  • Managing digital workflows and data structures within ProjectWise.
  • Supporting the implementation and continual improvement of digital delivery processes.
  • Driving the adoption of innovative technologies including drone surveys, automation and augmented reality.
  • Expanding the use of digital platforms such as Everfile for construction scheduling, quality inspections and materials management.
  • Exploring and implementing AI-driven solutions to improve design automation, project controls and construction safety.
  • Working closely with engineers, designers and construction teams to identify opportunities for digital improvement.
  • Promoting best practice across digital delivery and information management.
  • Bringing fresh ideas and innovative thinking from both within and outside the infrastructure sector.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking team that is actively investing in digital innovation across major infrastructure programmes. You'll have the opportunity to influence how emerging technologies are adopted, work with industry-leading digital specialists and help shape the future of project delivery. The team is growing, with two immediate vacancies available, and offers excellent long-term career development within a collaborative environment.

The role is based on a hybrid working arrangement, with approximately three days per week in the office and regular site visits, typically around four days per month.
