Company Information

My client is a fast-paced growing SME that is looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Geologist to support with their existing portfolio of works: Including Tier 1’s and Network Rail. Their culture is one that is focused on people, and they are looking for someone to join and expand the team.

Role & Responsibilities

Assist in the planning and delivery of ground investigation projects

Undertake site supervision and geological logging of soils and rocks in accordance with BS/Eurocode standards

Prepare factual and interpretative reports, with support and review from senior staff

Develop ground models and contribute to geotechnical risk assessment

Liaise with clients, contractors, laboratories, and internal teams

Support junior staff and technicians on site and in the office

Ensure works are carried out in accordance with health, safety, and environmental requirements

Essential Skills

BSc (MSc) in Geology, Engineering Geology, or related disciplines

Working towards Chartered status (e.g. Cgeol, CSci, ICE or Similar)

Typically, 2-6 years’ experience in engineering geology or geotechnical consultancy

Experience of site investigation supervision and logging

Good understanding of UK ground conditions and relevant standards (e.g Eurocode 7, BS 5930)

Strong written and verbal communications

Desired Skills

Experience with geotechnical analysis, slope stability, foundations, or contaminated land

Familiarity with industry software (e.g HoleBASE, GeoStudio, PLAXIS)

Ability to manage elements of projects and meet deadlines

Salary range

  • £40,000 - £50,000 per year
