The Opportunity
Be a central figure in India's flagship high‑speed rail programme. As Chief Expert - Integration, Testing & Commissioning, you will lead the end‑to‑end systems integration and ITC strategy across a complex, multi‑package environment-ensuring safe, timely, and seamless entry into service in line with international standards and client obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Integration Leadership: Own the overall systems integration strategy across signalling & train control, telecommunications, traction power/OHE, SCADA, rolling stock, platform systems, depot & OCC, station E&M, and cybersecurity-coordinating interfaces with civil works and multiple contractors/JVs.
- ITC Management: Define the testing architecture, from FAT/SAT through static & dynamic testing, systems integration tests (SIT), trial running and reliability growth, culminating in operational readiness and handover.
- Assurance & Compliance: Drive RAMS and safety assurance (e.g., EN 50126/8/9) and verification & validation under the V‑Model; shepherd approvals with the Independent Safety Assessor and regulatory bodies.
- Programme Controls: Establish ITC schedules, milestones, gating criteria and entry/exit conditions; manage risk, issue resolution, and configuration & change control across packages.
- Documentation & Governance: Approve and govern ICDs, test strategies, test procedures, acceptance criteria, defect management and close‑out processes; ensure robust reporting to the Client/Engineer.
- Stakeholder Management: Lead technical forums and readiness reviews with contractors, the Client/Engineer, operator, and authorities; chair cross‑functional integration/commissioning working groups.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Engineering Graduate in Electrical / Electronics stream or equivalent.
- 20 years of experience in Railways/Metro.
- Integration (Construction Phase): 10 years in integration of systems during the construction phase in rail‑based transit system project(s).
- High‑Speed Rail ITC Leadership: Minimum 02 years as in‑charge of Integration, Testing & Commissioning in High‑Speed Rail project(s).
