Help Young Londoners Build Brighter Futures!
We're looking for someone who is passionate about creating opportunities for young people and can demonstrate the impact they have delivered through high-quality programmes, partnerships and support.
This role is focused on helping young people progress into employment, training and long-term careers. You'll work with young Londoners from a wide range of backgrounds, including those facing barriers to employment, education and social mobility. Success in this role isn't measured by the size of the programmes you've managed, but by the outcomes you've achieved for the young people you've supported.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing and delivering progression programmes that support young people into employment, apprenticeships, education and training.
- Building strong partnerships with charities, youth organisations, community groups, employers and education providers.
- Creating opportunities that develop confidence, employability skills, professional networks and career aspirations.
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop sustainable pathways for young people.
- Monitoring outcomes and using insights and feedback to continuously improve programme delivery.
- Ensuring programmes meet the needs of a diverse range of young people and deliver meaningful, measurable impact.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working directly with young people and supporting them to achieve positive outcomes.
- Experience within the youth, museum, employability, charity, social impact, education or skills sectors.
- A strong understanding of the challenges facing young people entering the labour market.
- Excellent stakeholder management and partnership-building skills.
- Experience developing and delivering creative programmes that improve employment, education or training outcomes.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to work with senior stakeholders and challenge where appropriate.
- Experience coaching, mentoring or supporting young people to build confidence and achieve their potential.
About You
You will understand the current youth employment landscape and be able to demonstrate how your work has helped young people progress into positive destinations.
You will have experience designing and managing programmes which support young people from diverse backgrounds, including those who are neurodivergent and those facing additional barriers to education, training or employment. You understand that a one-size-fits-all approach does not work and can adapt your delivery style to meet individual needs.
You'll be comfortable working with charities, community organisations, employers and corporate stakeholders, building relationships that create meaningful opportunities for young people.
Most importantly, you'll be passionate about improving outcomes for young people and able to evidence the difference your work has made.
If you have a track record of helping young people build confidence, develop skills and access meaningful opportunities, we'd like to hear from you.

Equality, diversity and inclusion
We are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and aim to reflect the diverse communities we serve. We believe that a diverse workforce enables us to deliver better services and outcomes. Our goal is to make our recruitment as inclusive as possible. As a Disability Confident Leader, we actively encourage applications from disabled people. As part of the Disability Confident scheme, we aim to offer an assessment or interview to candidates who apply via the scheme where the minimum essential criteria for skills, knowledge and experience has been met. In some circumstances, it may not be practical to offer an interview or assessment to every candidate who applies through the scheme and meet the minimum essential criteria; in these situations, we select candidates who best meet the minimum criteria for the job rather than interviewing all who meet them.
Across all recruitment activity, we recognise that selection methods may vary depending on the nature and scale of the campaign and will be applied fairly, consistently and proportionately in line with our Disability Confident commitments.
Benefits
In return for your commitment and expertise, you will enjoy excellent benefits and scope to grow. Rewards vary according to the level of role but mostly include the below:

- Private healthcare discounted scheme Tax-efficient cycle-to-work programme

Vetting Process
At Transport for London, safety, trust and fairness sit at the heart of how we recruit. Our Vetting Charter (https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/careers/our-vetting-process) explains the checks we carry out before you join us, helping ensure we create a safe, inclusive and reliable network for everyone who depends on our services. We simply ask that the information you provide is honest and accurate so we can progress your application smoothly. If something doesn’t match or can’t be verified, we may not be able to move forward with your application, but we’ll always treat you with transparency, respect, and clear communication throughout.
