
Mechanical and Electrical Fitter
Contract Inside IR35
Permanent Night shift
£35.91 PAYE or £48.72 umbrella
Or client is looking for apprentice trained mechanical fitters either from the car or rail or aviation industry. Experience in bench work i.e.: stripping/cleaning/rebuilding components would be an advantage. They would need to have good knowledge of the use of measuring equipment.
The role would be overhauling brakes (rolling stock) on a production line.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate a level 3 Electrical or mechanical qualification or equivalent.
Must be able to read and follow detailed work instructions and component assembly drawings, be familiar with general hand tools, bearing press and power tools.
Must understand how to set and use a Torque Wrench and understand the principles of their use including witness marking.
There will be a requirement for the use of overhead cranes and other workshop equipment for which training will be provided.
Understand and be able to use basic measuring tools, Vernier, Micrometer and ruler.
