Role Overview

An international rail project is seeking an experienced MEP & Rail Systems Construction Manager to oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of all mechanical, electrical, and railway systems on a large‑scale urban transit project. The role is site‑based in Egypt and requires immediate availability or short notice.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of all MEP and railway systems across the project.
• Manage system interfaces and coordinate between multiple contractors and stakeholders.
• Oversee systems including (but not limited to):
  • Power supply and distribution (LV & HV)
  • Ventilation and fire protection systems
  • Rolling Stock interfaces
  • SCADA systems
  • Train operation and supervision systems
  • Automatic Fare Collection (AFC)
• Ensure works are delivered in line with project specifications, safety standards, and programme requirements.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities through to project completion.
• Act as the primary technical authority on site for MEP and rail systems matters.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer.
• Extensive experience in Metro, Transit, or Monorail projects, ideally on international assignments.
• Proven background in supervising installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP and railway systems.
• Strong experience coordinating multidisciplinary system interfaces.
• Previous experience in a similar role on large‑scale rail or transit projects is essential.
• Monorail experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, site‑based environment with tight delivery timelines.
